Michael L. Pearis
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Michael joined The Home in October of 2013 as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Michael directs and manages all fiscal, facility and information technology matters of The Home. He serves as senior advisor to the President and the Board of Directors on fiscal, facility and IT issues for the organization.

Michael has a solid background in accounting and financial management experience as well as experience in the non-profit sector. He served as Director of Finance for the City of Providence, Rhode Island. In this capacity he oversaw the Department of Finance and the Offices of the City Controller, City Collector and City Assessor. Responsibilities included preparation and oversight of the city’s annual operating budget, monitoring the operating budget for the Providence School Department, and financial presentations to the City Council, bond rating agencies and other organizations. Michael also served as vice chairman of the Board of Investment Commissioners and as a member of the Providence Water Supply Board, the Board of Contract & Supply, and the Providence Public Buildings Authority.

Prior to his position with the City of Providence, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer at Child and Family and President/CEO at About Families, LLC and Chief Operating Officer at Meeting Street. He served as AVP, Finance at Fleet Bank and Senior Finance manager at Pillsbury Company.

Michael holds a BS in Business from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and an MBA from Pepperdine University, The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management.
