Peter Evers
Vice President for Program Operations
Peter Evers, M.S.W., joined The Home in April 2010 as Vice President for Program Operations. Peter oversees all of The Home’s programs that work to better the lives of some of Massachusetts’ most vulnerable children and families.
Peter brings extensive experience in the social services field, including positions that have involved residential care, group care, adoption and foster care, sexual abuse and domestic violence. Prior to joining The Home, Peter was the Southeastern Area Director of the Department of Mental Health. In this role he oversaw three hospitals, three community mental health centers and three case management offices, providing an array of inpatient acute and continual care and outpatient services to people with mental illness.
Peter was educated in England, graduating from the University of South Yorkshire with a B.A. in Economics and Business Studies, specializing in Human Resource Management. His Masters in Social Work, specializing in Psychology, Sociology, Social Policy and Psychotherapy, is from the University of Kent. He is a licensed clinical social worker both here and in Britain and is also a licensed alcohol and drug counselor.
