Mission Hill Project
Progress Timelapse, week of February 7-14:
The Home for Little Wanderers has applied to the City of Boston to build a new structure on its property at 69-71 Alleghany Street in Mission Hill. The new building, designed to fit into the neighborhood will house our Children’s Community Collaborative. The Collaborative is currently located at Warren Street in Brighton MA and is licensed and permitted for 24 residents. Harrington House which is currently located at Alleghany Street is licensed and permitted for 16 residents.
The project will also include a total of 38 parking spaces, 19 for each property. These will accommodate the residential staff, counselors, administration, and resident visitors. The Home is committed to providing adequate parking in an effort to reduce the impact on the city streets.
The Home has set up this site for our neighbors in Mission Hill to follow along with the construction, and to answer any questions you might have now and throughout the duration of the project.
Building: Clear & grade the site
Soil export begins today (1/19) and continues on Monday (1/22). You can expect truck traffic during construction hours.
Possible drilling on site for utilities (1/15 - 1/19)
This is a friendly reminder that the parking lot is for staff and visitors to Harrington House only. Thank you.
