Voices & Visions 2015
The Home for Little Wanderers hosted the 11th Annual Voices & Visions fundraiser on Thursday, May 21, 2015. The event, which was held at the Seaport World Trade center included an art exhibit created by the children in our care, a silent auction, dinner and a program. Guests viewed imaginative artwork, poetry, and prose that children in The Home’s care created as part of a year-long art curriculum inspired by the theme, “Who Am I?” View examples of the art and photos from the event here. As part of our celebration, we honored Jerry Sargent, President of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts, a longtime partner of The Home. The Sabino Marinella Award was presented to five young women – The First Five – who were the first graduates of our Academic Support for College and Life (ASCL) program at Bridgewater State University. These young women’s journey through foster care, college, and then their path to finding meaningful careers was inspirational and truly amazing. It was a wonderful evening, raising over $1.1 million in much needed funds for The Home’s innovative programs.
On behalf of all children and families we serve, our heartfelt thanks to the corporations, individuals, and foundations who made this event such a spectacular success through their sponsorship and support.
