Food, Fun and Fitness
Finding ways to instill a love of physical activity and healthy eating in children can be a challenge. At a recent Food, Fun and Fitness Fair, nearly one hundred youth from across our programs enjoyed an afternoon of physical activities and educational demonstrations.
Celebrating Foster and Adoptive Parents
The Home recognized Foster Care Awareness Month in May by hosting a dinner to celebrate foster and adoptive families. More than 30 parents were honored for the difference they are making in children’s lives. In addition, a guest speaker, Mary VanderZeyde, shared her emotional journey of deciding to adopt two young girls after foster parenting.
With a Little Help from our Friends
Support from our donors and volunteers makes it possible for us to provide the "extras" that most kids and families take for granted. Kate Santoro and Jean Egan, Deloitte, Anne and Laurence Sperry and Chris's Service Center are just a few examples of those who have recently made a difference for our kids.
