The Home’s 225th anniversary year was one for the ages, filled with new program launches, updates, and remarkable markers and milestones that speak to the difference The Home makes in the lives of the children and families we serve. In the dawn of a bright new year, we reflect back on the many accomplishments of 2024 and on the impact of our hardworking staff and loyal supporters. Here are some highlights…
- Thanks to The Home’s permanency efforts, 84% of the youth we serve had at least one safe, stable, emotionally secure relationship that was beneficial to their well-being.

- The Home made history with the opening of Unity House, a residential group home serving LGBTQ+ youth in Keene, New Hampshire. It is a first for the Granite State!
- Since its launch one year ago, The Home’s Youth Community Crisis Stabilization (YCCS) Program has served 188 youth, addressing their acute mental health needs with immediate stabilization services and comprehensive care in a comfortable, family-friendly setting.
- The Home’s clinicians, who are embedded in 105 schools throughout the Boston area and North Shore, as well as in New York City, served over 2000 students with therapeutic services, counseling youth where they learn.
- The Home’s Harbor Area Family Resource Center, which opened in July of 2023, served its 1000th family, an unprecedented number!

- The Home launched the Connected Families Respite Program, a crisis prevention initiative strengthening and supporting families parenting children with complex needs.
- The COVE School, one of The Home’s three special education schools, had its largest graduating class ever!
- The Home kept the doors open at Youth on Fire by adding the drop-in center that provides meals, safety and on-site services to unhoused, unaccompanied youth to our growing list of services for young adults.
- We helped 227 young adults who would have become homeless after they aged out of the foster care system.
Here’s to building on this momentum in 2025 and ushering in further progress and change!
