At The Home, we believe strong families are the backbone of strong communities. Our Community Service Agencies (CSAs) provide individualized, family-driven coordination of care to meet the complex needs of children and families who are involved in child and family-serving systems and may be experiencing emotional, behavioral, safety or mental health difficulties.
The Home’s Community Service Agencies are three programs within a network of nearly 30 agencies across the Commonwealth that are part of the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). Our CSAs serve youth from birth to age 21 who have experienced Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), meet certain medical criteria and are enrolled in MassHealth Standard or CommonHealth as well select commercial insurances.
Our team of intensive care coordinators and family partners bring together providers and key natural supports to create a plan of care tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. In partnership with you, the team identifies resources and professionals, such as social workers, teachers, and personal supports, like friends and relatives, who work in unison to help you and your child achieve your goals. Our family partners, each with their own lived experience, seek to understand what you and your family are going through and offer individualized coaching as you work to meet your child’s needs.
Each of our CSAs now offer a Family-Based Intensive Treatment (FIT) service which provides short-term, flexible, hands-on support at home, helping families navigate tough times, strengthen connections and keep kids in their communities. The FIT service is designed for MassHealth youth under 21 with serious emotional challenges. It is delivered by a specialized team of clinicians, paraprofessionals, family partners and includes access to prescribers and behavioral therapists.
